Stock Questions

Should I sell my tech stocks during this market correction?

I'm fairly new to investing and started buying some tech stocks last year (mainly Apple, Microsoft, and a bit of Tesla). I've noticed they've been dropping quite a bit lately, and I'm down about 15% overall.

I keep reading different opinions online - some saying this is just temporary and to hold on, others warning about a bigger crash coming. As a beginner, it's pretty nerve-wracking watching my portfolio go red.

Should I cut my losses and sell now? Or is this normal market behavior and I should just ride it out? I'm investing for the long term (5+ years), but I'm worried about making rookie mistakes.

I get the panic - watching your portfolio bleed 15% sucks, especially as a new investor. Been there.
But here's the thing with tech stocks - they're very volatile. Apple, Microsoft, and especially Tesla are going swing hard in both directions.
If you're truly investing for 5+ years, this is just noise. The best investors aren't the smartest - they're the ones who don't panic sell during downturns. Almost nobody successfully times the market.
Those quality tech companies aren't going anywhere. When markets tank, that's actually when wealth is built - you're buying at a discount.
That said, only you know your risk tolerance. If checking your portfolio is giving you anxiety attacks, maybe adjust your asset allocation.
