The VanEck Rare Earth and Strategic Metals UCITS ETF (Acc) seeks to track the MVIS Global Rare Earth/Strategic Metals Index and provides targeted equity exposure to companies involved in the production, processing and recycling of rare earths and strategic metals (for example neodymium, dysprosium, lithium, cobalt and titanium). The fund is a physically replicating UCITS ETF domiciled in Ireland, listed in GBP on the LSE (ticker REGB), and is concentrated in miners, processors and specialty materials firms across developed and emerging markets. Returns are driven primarily by demand for critical minerals from clean-energy, electric-vehicle and advanced-technology supply chains, commodity price moves and company-level operational developments. Key risks include high sector concentration, significant exposure to Chinese producers and to smaller-cap mining equities, plus regulatory and geopolitical shifts that can sharply affect prices; the ETF is typically used for tactical or thematic exposure rather than core equity allocation.
